Phi Phi Island : hotels, accommodation & Travel Guide
Phi Phi Hotel Network features travel information,
resorts, accommodation
guide and hotel reservations for Koh Phi Phi with
photos, beaches and islands guide
Situated approximately 48 kilometres southeast of Phuket
island lies the amazingly beautiful Phi Phi Islands, Phi
Phi Don and Phi Phi Ley, which form part of Krabi province.
You can travel here by ferry, either from Phuket or from
the Krabi mainland.
Phi Phi Don is the main island where you will find a
good choice of accommodation, from 2 star guesthouses
up to 5 star luxury hotels. Here the beaches are powder
white, the sea crystal clear, and because of its small
size Phi Phi really does feel like the perfect tropical
hideaway.
There is no accommodation to be found on Phi Phi Ley.
Instead there are various day trips you can book, including
a visit to the famous Maya Beach, where the movie The
Beach was filmed. Because of the clear visibility of the
sea and the abundant coral marine life, diving is very
popular and there are many good reputable diving companies
on the island.
There are also many other activities for you to enjoy,
including rock climbing, kayaking and local boat trips
to the outlying islands.
With no shortage of fine restaurants serving delicious
food from all over the world and nightlife that is varied,
from soft quiet beachside bars to more lively music bars
and local discotheques, Phi Phi Island offers a truly
memorable experience for all its visitors.
Climate on Koh Phi Phi
Phi Phi Island has a very similar weather pattern
to Phuket and mainland Krabi, with the seasonal rains
arriving between May to October, and the dry season from
November to April. As in the rest of Thailand, Phi Phi
is blessed with warm sunny days and even in the rainy
season it doesn't rain everyday and the showers do not
usually last that long before the sun comes out again.
The daytime temperatures range from 25-35 degrees Celsius,
with the hottest months in March and April.
